Many of you may have wondered but didn’t think to ask why Samuel Taylors was not exhibiting at our recent Creative Craft Show on 14th October at Gateshead Leisure Centre. After 22 years in the crafting business Samuel Taylors have changed direction and will therefore not be exhibiting at any shows in the future. The Samuel Taylors stands will be a huge miss at the shows as they were always a popular stand and have been exhibiting at Initial J events for the last 20 years. They were indeed the first company to book a stand in 1998 when we held our very first Pins & Needles at the Newcastle Arena. For those of you who can remember, Samuel Taylors sold for many years nothing but Cross Stitch then gradually as the market changed moved into Paper Crafts.
I’m not sure if visitors realise but many of the exhibitors who travel the show circuit up and down the country are away from home for around 17 weekends a year and that is not just on a Saturday and Sunday, it’s a day to sort stock and pack the lorry, a day spent travelling to the show and then setting up the stand, then sometimes a two day show before packing up and travelling back. Many exhibitors can be away from home for 5 days out of 7.
As you will see from the attached photo Samuel Taylors was always a very popular stand and I guess thousands of visitors will have made many purchases over the last 20 years at both Pins & Needles and Creative Crafts buying all the latest craft products not readily found on the high street.
Initial J would like to thank Samuel Taylors for all their support over the last 20 years and wish them well for the future.
